My fiancé and I ordered two of these pocket journals to use for our vow books for our upcoming wedding. We wanted journals that we weren't afraid to use and wear as we drafted our vows in the months prior to the ceremony - these "cheery mishaps" were just the ones!
We chose the rustic brown and dark brown colors. The imperfections were characterizing, but not function impairing, on the journals. The leather is sturdy and smells wonderful.
The paper is thick with no bleed on a normal pen/pencil. We got lined/dotted paper in one journal and blank paper in the other so we could mix-and-match one style in each of the journals (since they each hold two pads of paper). I highly recommend it if you order more than one journal!

The journal is perfect for all my travels. It fits right in my pocket and I make entries in it all the time. What stands out most is the beautiful leather. I constantly smell it and grip it tightly. It feels and looks amazing. I can tell, as long as I don’t loose it, the journal will last a lifetime. And for such an affordable price, there are no competitors.

The leather is great actually like the natural “flaws”, gives personality. What I am disappointed with is the sloppy elastic rope used to keep the refillable journals in. Frayed ends, all the tails are different lengths after the knots, sloppy and distracting to the entire look. I have redone it so it’s now a presentable gift. Thank you for your prompt turnaround.
